THESE ARE THE ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT UNDER THE EDUCATION FOR ALL PROJECT
Education for All (Education pour tous) is a comprehensive program by YBSP that supports vulnerable children and youth in Burundi through inclusive and practical educational opportunities. The program ensures that every child, regardless of their background, has the right to learn, grow and thrive.
- At the heart of the program is Umwana mw’isomero (“A Child in School”), which covers school tuition, materials and school uniforms for children in need. This component helps keep children enrolled in school and relieves families of the financial burden that often leads to school dropouts. To promote well-rounded development, the program includes a dynamic football program that engages beneficiaries in physical activity, teamwork and discipline.
- Football program is used not just for recreation, but as a tool for social inclusion, emotional support and life skill development.
- Workshops are organized regularly on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, environmental responsibility, digital skills, and leadership. These sessions are interactive and age-appropriate, equipping children with knowledge and confidence beyond the classroom.
- Community work activities help instil a sense of responsibility, unity and service among the youth. Whether cleaning their school environment, planting trees or engaging in recycling initiatives, beneficiaries actively contribute to the betterment of their communities. Together, these elements form a strong foundation that empowers young people academically, physically, and socially.
Education for All reflects YBSP’s commitment to building a generation of confident, educated and socially responsible leaders.
