Women Empowerment
One of the core components is the sewing class, where women learn practical tailoring and design skills. This hands-on training not only fosters creativity but also prepares participants to start their own small businesses or generate income to support their families.
Through regular entrepreneurship sessions, participants are introduced to basic business skills, financial literacy and how to manage small business. With guidance from experienced mentors, many women go on to launch their own ventures, supported by small startup capital provided by the program.
The program also places a strong emphasis on healthcare and wellness education, including reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and personal hygiene. These sessions are designed to empower women with essential knowledge to care for themselves and their families, while also breaking down stigma and misinformation.
Together, these activities foster a safe, supportive environment where women can grow in confidence, build networks, and take steps toward financial and social independence. The Women Empowerment program is a cornerstone of YBSP’s mission to create lasting change through gender equity and community resilience.
